Study of Golden Mile Complex
This piece is a study of the Golden Mile Complex. Completed in 1973, under the name of the Who Hup Complex, the Golden Mile Complex was constructed in the style of Brutalism, not unlike the People’s Park Complex, by DP Architects.
This piece highlights elements in the design of Golden Mile Complex, like the usage of reoccurring modular elements that repeat in patterns, and invites viewers to contemplate the forms and aesthetics of structures in their every day lives.

Golden Mile Complex is a short, 10 minute walk from Nicoll Highway Station. It’s worth a visit just to see the details and patterns on the back of the building, or the open areas, eateries and pipework within it’s interior.
